Sophie Feyder

Sophie Feyder is a Luxembourgish artist with Peruvian roots based in Brussels. She creates projects around the themes of photographic archives, memory, and more recently the subjective experience of migration. In 2016, she received a distinction for her PhD dissertation intitled "Portraits of Resilience” (History, University of Leiden). She is the co-author of “Commonplace” (Fourthwall Books, 2017), an art book featuring photographs from two private South African photographic archives. Her most recent works combine still photography and sound in video form. And They Lived Happily Ever After for instance focuses on migrants’ experience of creating a new home for themselves over time.
